Biography
Prior to moving to Canada, Aisha practiced Corporate, Commercial and Litigation law in Nigeria. She holds a Master of Law from Brunel University in London where she studied International Commercial Law.
What makes Aisha stand out is her proven success in managing all corporate legal processes such as incorporations, reorganizations, amalgamations, dissolutions, compliance issues, transactions, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, partnerships, and commercial lawsuits. Throughout her career, she has developed solid skills and acquired a diverse range of expertise. She is adept at protecting company against legal risks/violations as well as conducting research in litigation, regulatory, and business issues.
Aisha is known as an elite communicator equipped with exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. She has a track record of success in providing clients with innovative solutions. She has worked extensively in fast-paced business environments, is sensitive to the need to respect timelines, to be efficient and to be responsive. She believes passionately in working hard to understand the business needs of both her internal & external clients. Aisha is passionate about supporting the community, promoting diversity & inclusion, and charity groups, by working with them on initiatives that matter to them including intersectional feminism, and racial equity.
Outside of the office, Aisha enjoys playing squash, traveling, and any activities involving her kids. She is an active volunteer with FTLC where she tutors foreign-trained lawyers taking the NCA exams. Aisha is serving a term as Secretary for the Islamic Society of Nigerians in Nova Scotia. She is also the treasurer for the CMLA Atlantic chapter.
